Delicious Frozen Yogurt Mini Hearts - with only 5 ingredients, they make a perfect healthy afterschool snack. And they're incredibly easy to make! Meal prep ahead, enjoy as a healthy breakfast or dessert, or as an on-the-go snack!

I love ice cream and can eat it all year long, whether it's summer or winter season!

As much as I'd like, I don't have time to prepare homemade ice cream (as it's healthier this way), but I have figured a way for a very similar treat that is very fast to make and with proper ingredients can taste almost like ice cream.

5 ingredients, 5 minutes to prep and in few hours you'll have a bunch of healthy snacks for yourself and for kids.

Ingredients for Frozen Yogurt Mini Hearts recipe

    • 2 apricots or peach
    • ½ cup Yogurt
    • 3 tablespoon coconut cream/milk
    • 1-2 tablespoon honey or sweetener
    • 10-15 Raspberries (depending on the mold and berry size, I usually cut larger raspberries in half)
    9-Speed Immersion Blender
    Chocolate molds

How to make Frozen Yogurt mini Hearts

1.Puree the apricots with an immersion blender, add coconut cream and yogurt. Blend again to combine.

2.Using a piping bag or zip lock bag fill half of each heart with the mixture. Top with half or whole raspberries (depending on berry size) and slightly press them into the mold.

3.Freeze for at least 3 hours, after removing them from the freezer let them thaw for a minute and enjoy!

Make sure to store them in the freezer in a sealed airtight container.

For dairy-free option, make this recipe only with coconut cream instead of yogurt, this way it will be more creamy too.

For this recipe, I've used chocolate silicone heart molds but let your fantasy fly as there are all sorts of different pastry molds and shapes available like this or like these. Aren't they cute or what?? Your kids will love it!

Which frozen yogurt is the healthiest?

Frozen yogurt makers often claim it is a healthier alternative to ice cream, but that depends on the ingredients. Yogurt is usually lower in fat and calories than ice cream, but it can be just as high in sugar.

This is why it’s important to read the label and choose a plain yogurt like Greek yogurt with no added ingredients.

    Enjoy!

    NOTES

As they are so small in size they will start melting quicker than frozen yogurt cups.
