We have a great collection of different sauces, condiments, and dips. In my opinion, homemade should mean: easy, healthy, and quick. And this Sweet And Spicy Tahini recipe ticks all the boxes!

This dressing is super simple to make and will last for days to be used in various dishes!

Super versatile and has a sweet and slightly spicy taste to it.

My favorite way to use it is to drizzle over Buddha Bowls with rice or for falafels but I have listed a few other options down below for you try.

Tahini paste has a naturally bitter taste, but with the help of few ingredients like lemon/lime juice and agave/maple syrup, it balances the flavors pretty well.

In case you still don’t like the hint of bitterness in your Sweet & Spicy Tahini Dressing, just add more agave/maple syrup and if desired, lemon juice.

Serve this sauce over buddha bowls or as a dipping sauce with these delicious salmon patties.

Sweet and Spicy Tahini Dressing Recipe

Here's what you'll need for this awesome Tahini Dressing:

    • 3 ½ tablespoon tahini paste
    • 2 tablespoon lemon juice (or lime)
    • ½ teaspoon chili powder
    • 2 tablespoon agave syrup, or maple syrup
    • 1 tablespoon sesame oil or olive oil
    • ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
    • Pinch of salt
    • Pepper to taste (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon water

How to make Sweet and Spicy Tahini Dressing

In your food processor or blender, combine tahini paste, lemon or lime juice, agave syrup, sesame oil, chili powder, and salt. Blend until smooth texture, add 1 tablespoon of water. If you want more runny dressing add more water (gradually).

Garnish with sesame seeds, chili flakes. Drizzle over Buddha Bowls, salads, tacos and more.

What do you put Tahini Dressing on?

    • Drizzle over all types of grains like quinoa, lentils, brown rice, millet
    • Buddha Bowls
    • Salads, especially with lots of greens in (think kale, spinach, chard)
    • Steamed or roasted veggies
    • Drizzle over falafel
    • Chickpea fritters or any veggie fritters
    • Spread it on toast, sandwiches
    • Burgers

Use this Tahini Dressing in variety of recipes:

How long can you keep Tahini Dressing?

Best enjoyed during the first 3 days of making, but it can keep in the refrigerator for up to a week. It will thicken over time, simply add some boiled (cooled) water in and stir/whisk the dressing.

I hope you enjoy this Sweet and Spicy Tahini Dressing, and please let me know what is your favorite way to use it in your recipes 🙂
