Chicken Parmigiana

Make my homemade marinara sauce or use a store bought can, either marinara, pizza sauce or simple tomato sauce. – 

Cut the chicken breasts in half widthwise to make 4 thin breasts. Place them on the wooden board covered with plastic wrap and pound on both sides.

Season with salt and pepper (both sides). Coat the chicken in flour, then egg, and then bread crumbs.

Fry the chicken on pan until golden brown and crispy and transfer to baking dish with marinara sauce. Top with cheese. 

Bake for 15-20 minutes at 420 F until cheese melted and sauce bubbly. Serve with fresh basil.
