Baked Chicken Parmesan is a healthier take on the classic! Enjoy crispy, cheesy goodness with less mess and a wholesome twist.
Make marinara sauce and set aside. Cut chicken breasts in half, pound thin, and season with salt and pepper.
Set up three bowls: flour with garlic powder, whisked eggs, and breadcrumbs with cheese and Italian herbs. Coat chicken in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
Heat oil in a skillet and fry chicken for 3 minutes per side until golden. Drain on a paper towel.
Preheat oven to 425°F. In a baking dish, layer marinara sauce, fried chicken, and more sauce. Top with mozzarella and parmesan.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese melts and sauce bubbles. Garnish with fresh basil and serve!
