Homemade Strawberry Preserves Recipe


This strawberry rhubarb preserve recipe is loaded with sweet strawberries and fresh rhubarb, rolled in sugar, and cooked on the stovetop on medium-high heat with lemon juice to balance the tart flavor and help thicken the hot jam. You can make it with both fruit or just strawberries!

In a bowl combine the strawberries, rhubarb, and sugar. Give it a good mix and let it sit for about an hour.

After that, cook the mixture stirring constantly  until it starts gently boiling.

To check if the jam is ready, use a spoon to create an open trail behind it as you stir.
