Enjoy apple pie flavors in this easy air fryer dessert! Warm apples, sweet cinnamon filling, and buttery crust baked right in. A perfect fall treat!
Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Dice 2 apples.
In a saucepan over low-medium heat, cook diced apples with vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon. Add cornstarch mixture and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into ⅓-inch strips. Chill if needed.
Cut tops off 4 apples and hollow them out, leaving ½ inch of flesh near the skin. Fill with pie filling.
Brush apples with egg-milk wash. Cover tops with pastry strips, aligning or weaving them into a lattice. Trim excess dough.
Brush dough with egg wash, sprinkle with cinnamon (and optional sugar). Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Serve warm with ice cream or caramel sauce. Enjoy!
