Master these foolproof slow cooker ribs for irresistibly tender, fall-apart perfection every time. The secret? Slow cook first, baste generously with sauce, then finish in the oven for a beautifully caramelized, charred finish!
Spray a 4.5-quart slow cooker with oil. Wash, dry, and remove the skin from ribs.
Place them in the slow cooker and season with salt and pepper.
Mix barbecue sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and cayenne. Pour half over the ribs, reserving the rest.
Cook on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 7 hours until fork-tender.
Transfer ribs to a baking sheet. Mix slow cooker juices with the reserved sauce and baste ribs.
Broil at 425°F for 10 minutes until charred. Serve with extra sauce.
