INGREDIENTS
  

  • cup white sugar, or sub. brown sugar
  • 1 lb strawberries (fresh or frozen), no stem
  • ½ cup blueberries (frehs or frozen), or more
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ¼ cup of water

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • Cut strawberries in quarters and place them in a medium pot.
  • Add all the rest ingredients to the pot over medium heat.
  • Stir until the sugar dissolves in the sauce.
  • Once the mix starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and cover.
  • Let simmer for 10 minutes, stir every 3 or so minutes.
  • Uncover and shut off the heat.
  • Let cool down. The sauce will start thickening.
  • Serve warm or cold on pancakes, waffles, ice cream, or any other dish that will go well with this yummy sauce.

NOTES

Berries: You can use both fresh or frozen berries for the sauce. For this recipe, we've used fresh strawberries and frozen blueberries.
