This Slow Cooker Spiced Pear Butter has a silky smooth texture, it’s dairy-free and made easily in slow cooker, multicooker or instant pot with fresh pears or apples. Just combine all ingredients in the slow cooker, set timer, and forget it.

INGREDIENTS
  

  • 1-2 teaspoon sugar brown, add more if unripe fruit
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh chopped ginger
  • 3 medium pears, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 1 medium apple, peeled and cut into chunks
  • cup water

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • Add all ingredients into a slow cooker or multicooker.
  • Choose the ‘’slow cooker’’ setting and adjust the timer to 3 hours.
  • When ready simply mash with a potato masher, leaving large chunks inside (for more rustic texture). Or use an immersion blender/blender for smoother butter.
  • Eat warm or cold!
