INGREDIENTS
  

  • 1 pound asparagus spears
  • 1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil, or any high-smoke-point oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS
 

  • Preheat your air fryer: Set it to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 5 minutes.
  • Trim the asparagus: Snap or slice off the tough ends of the spears.
    1 pound asparagus spears
  • Arrange in the basket: Place trimmed asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Add oil: Brush or drizzle with oil.
    1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
  • Season: Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and gently toss to coat evenly.
    ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Cook: Air fry for 6–8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking. Thicker spears may need a minute more.
  • Serve: Remove and serve warm.
