INGREDIENTS

  • 7 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 380°F (190°C) and let it run for 5 minutes. Getting the time and temp right ensures even cooking and crispy skin.
  • Dry the chicken: Use paper towels to pat the drumsticks dry. This step helps them get extra crispy.
  • Season: In a bowl, toss the drumsticks with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and rosemary.
  • Oil it up: Drizzle with avocado oil and toss again until evenly coated.
  • Arrange in the basket: Lay the drumsticks in a single layer with space between. Don’t overcrowd—it’s important for crisping!
  • Cook: Air fry at 380°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway. The internal temp should reach 165°F.
  • Rest and enjoy: Let them sit a few minutes before serving. That helps the juices settle and keeps the meat tender.

NOTES

Cooking chicken drumsticks from frozen is totally possible – Just add 5–8 extra minutes and use a thermometer to make sure they reach 165°F.
