Ingredients

  • 7 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried rosemary

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 380°F (190°C) and let it run for 5 minutes. Getting the time and temp right ensures even cooking and crispy skin.
  2. Dry the chicken: Use paper towels to pat the drumsticks dry. This step helps them get extra crispy.

  3. Season: In a bowl, toss the drumsticks with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and rosemary.
1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 2 teaspoons smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
  4. Oil it up: Drizzle with avocado oil and toss again until evenly coated.
    2 tablespoons avocado oil
  5. Arrange in the basket: Lay the drumsticks in a single layer with space between. Don’t overcrowd—it’s important for crisping!
  6. Cook: Air fry at 380°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway. The internal temp should reach 165°F.
  7. Rest and enjoy: Let them sit a few minutes before serving. That helps the juices settle and keeps the meat tender.
