Bring steaks to room temp: Let them sit out for 20-30 minutes so they cook evenly.
2 8-ounce ribeye steaks
Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
Season the steaks: Pat them dry with paper towels, then rub with oil. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
¼ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon olive oil, ½ teaspoon black pepper
Air fry the steak: Place in the basket with space between.
Medium-rare: 6–8 minutes
Medium: 8–10 minutes
Well-done: 10–12 minutes
Flip halfway through!
Check the internal temp with a meat thermometer:
135°F for medium-rare
145°F for medium
160°F for well-done
Let it rest: Remove from the air fryer and rest 5–10 minutes before slicing. This locks in the juices!
Slice and serve: Slice against the grain into strips. Add your garlic butter or serve with a drizzle of soy sauce marinade for an Asian twist.
