Ingredients

  • 2 8-ounce ribeye steaks
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or any high-smoke-point oil
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Bring steaks to room temp: Let them sit out for 20-30 minutes so they cook evenly.
    2 8-ounce ribeye steaks
  2. Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  3. Season the steaks: Pat them dry with paper towels, then rub with oil. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
¼ teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon olive oil, ½ teaspoon black pepper
  4. Air fry the steak: Place in the basket with space between.
  5. Medium-rare: 6–8 minutes
  6. Medium: 8–10 minutes
  7. Well-done: 10–12 minutes
  8. Flip halfway through!
  9. Check the internal temp with a meat thermometer:
  10. 135°F for medium-rare
  11. 145°F for medium
  12. 160°F for well-done
  13. Let it rest: Remove from the air fryer and rest 5–10 minutes before slicing. This locks in the juices!
  14. Slice and serve: Slice against the grain into strips. Add your garlic butter or serve with a drizzle of soy sauce marinade for an Asian twist.
