If you love the flavors of classic chicken cordon bleu but don't love the extra work, this Air Fryer Chicken Cordon Bleu Roll is for you. Ground chicken is layered with cream cheese, mozzarella, parsley, and ham, then rolled up and air fried until golden on the outside and juicy inside.

Chicken Cordon Bleu Meatloaf Roll
I started making this recipe on busy weeknights when I wanted something that looked a little more special than plain chicken patties or meatballs. The first time I sliced into the cheesy swirl, I knew this one was staying in the dinner rotation. It feels impressive without requiring much effort.

Ingredients
- Cream cheese - This is the secret ingredient that keeps the filling creamy and helps the roll hold together. I let it sit on the counter for 15-20 minutes first because cold cream cheese is almost impossible to spread without tearing the chicken.
- Mozzarella cheese - Mozzarella melts beautifully and gives you those gooey, cheesy pockets in every slice. Traditional chicken cordon bleu is often made with Swiss cheese, which has a nuttier, more pronounced flavor. I've tried both, but I keep coming back to mozzarella because it's milder, melts incredibly well, and lets the ham and cream cheese shine through. Plus, it's the version my family always requests.
- Ham - Thinly sliced deli ham works best here. I usually fold or trim the slices so they fit neatly inside the roll. Too much ham can make the roll harder to seal.
