Soft, sweet Gluten Free Cornbread Recipe is a healthier version of the traditional cornbread recipe and comes together in only 30-35 minutes.
Perfect to serve as a side for dinner meals like chili's, stews, salmon casserole and more delicious comfort food.
How To Make Gluten Free Cornbread
Whisk together sugar, baking powder, cornflour, flour, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add the oil, melted butter, honey, and milk. Pour the wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Whisk to combine.
Pour everything into a greased 8 or 9-inch round pan.
- Bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 350º F.
- Serve with butter and maple syrup or use as a side to chilis, stews, casseroles, soups. Our favorite is this simple bean stew!

Tips
- This recipe also makes tasty gluten-free cornbread muffins. If you’re up for it, simply divide the batter equally into a greased 12 cup muffin tin, bake for 15 minutes, then enjoy!
- Don't overbake it. Like with most baking, I recommend keeping an eye on the cornbread toward the last 10 minutes. If a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few breadcrumbs it is ready. This cornbread is soft and moist inside so the center should be still moist when baked.
- Serve this soup in Crack Chicken Noodle Soup or pasta dishes.
