This crispy Air Fryer Broccoli takes just 15 minutes and 1 simple bowl—no boiling or roasting required! It’s one of my go-to veggie sides for busy weeknights, and it always turns out perfectly seasoned and golden on the edges.

I’ve been testing and tweaking air fryer recipes for years now, and I always come back to this one. It’s quick, healthy, and crowd-pleasing—even the kids will eat their greens when they’re crispy and snackable like this.
Ingredients
- Broccoli - I use one whole head and cut it into evenly sized florets so everything cooks at the same rate. You can also use pre-cut florets to save time.
- Avocado oil - I love this for its high smoke point and light flavor, but olive oil works great too.
- Salt - Just enough to bring out the natural flavor of the broccoli.
- Black pepper - Adds a little warmth and depth. Feel free to adjust to your taste.
- If you love this recipe, be sure to try my other air fryer favorites like broccoli balls and fritters!

How To Make Air Fryer Broccoli
- Preheat the air fryer: Set it to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up for 3 minutes.
- Prep the broccoli: Cut into similar-sized florets for even cooking.
- Season: In a bowl, toss the broccoli with oil, salt, and pepper until well coated.
- Arrange in the basket: Place in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Work in batches if needed.
- Air fry: Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crisping.
- Serve: Once browned and tender, transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot as a side or snack.
Want a flavor twist? – Toss in a little lemon zest, red pepper flakes, or even your favorite seasoning blend like taco or Cajun.
Tips
- Shake halfway through – Just give the basket a little toss or use tongs. This helps get that yummy golden edge on every piece.
- Add garlic powder or fresh minced garlic – I do this often! Garlic makes everything better and gives that irresistible roasted flavor.
- Make it cheesy – A sprinkle of shredded parmesan during the last 2 minutes = game changer. Melty, salty, and so good.
- Can I use frozen broccoli? – Yep! No need to thaw, just toss it in frozen and add 2–3 more minutes. It’s not quite as crispy as fresh, but still delicious.
- Why is my broccoli soggy? – Most likely it’s overcrowded. Give those florets some space so they can roast, not steam.
- What temp should I use? – 350°F is my sweet spot, but you can go a bit higher (375–400°F) if you like it extra crisp. Just check it earlier!
Storing Leftovers
- To Store. Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- To Reheat. Pop it back in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes to crisp up again.
