Julia's High Fiber Tips
- Add beans or lentils to soups, salads, pasta, or casseroles whenever you can. It's one of the easiest ways to boost both fibre and protein.
- Try including at least one whole grain each day like oats, quinoa, or brown rice. Small changes add up quickly.
- Don't suddenly go from zero fibre to 100 overnight unless you want your stomach to personally file a complaint.
- Drink plenty of water when increasing fibre intake. This makes a huge difference.
- Frozen vegetables are totally fine here. I use them constantly for quick high fiber dinners.
- High fiber meals stay filling longer, which is probably why I stop snack-searching through the kitchen an hour later.
- Honestly, cabbage, lentils, chickpeas, and oats are probably some of the most underrated budget-friendly healthy ingredients ever.
