This 5-Minute Greek Yogurt Dressing is a game-changer in the kitchen. It’s creamy, tangy, and packed with flavor, making it the perfect addition to salads, veggies, or even as a dip for your favorite snacks.
Toss the store-bought dressing and cook healthier with wholesome ingredients from scratch—it’s easier than you think!
As a mom and a food professional, I know how hard it can be to make dinner, but trust me, this dressing is simple and comes together in just 5 minutes.
Plus, it keeps in the fridge for up to 5 days, making it perfect for meal prep or last-minute meals.
I love using this dressing on my Mediterranean Pasta Salad, Greek Lemon Potatoes, and drizzle on top of Souvlaki.
It’s the quick, easy, and delicious way to bring a little Mediterranean flair to any meal!
Ingredients You'll Need for Making Greek Yogurt Dressing
- Yogurt - use plain Greek yogurt. Its thick, creamy texture and tangy flavor will complement the honey, herbs, and mustard really well.
- Honey - to balance the acidity of the lemon juice, yogurt and vinegar. You can also use maple syrup or agave nectar.
- Apple cider vinegar - will give the dressing tangy and fruity notes. Alternatively, use red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar.
- Olive oil - a high-quality extra virgin olive oil will do wonders for texture and taste.
- Lemon juice - freshly squeezed lemon juice adds a bright zesty taste.
- Herbs - you'll need oregano and basil. We used dried herbs, but you can also use fresh herbs if that is what you have.
- Garlic powder - this will add a savory kick to the dressing. You can also use fresh garlic cloves, but make sure to grate them finely.
- Dijon mustard - provides a layered, nuanced taste to the dressing.

Tips When Making Homemade Salad Dressing
- I recommend using full-fat Greek yogurt for a creamier and richer dressing. However, add more olive oil or warm water if you prefer a thinner dressing.
- Let the creamy salad dressing sit for at least 30 minutes before using it to allow the flavors to blend. For the best flavor, make this recipe a day or two ahead of time.
- Taste and Adjust. After mixing, taste the dressing and add more lemon juice, salt and pepper, if needed.

How to Store Homemade Creamy Greek Yogurt Dressing
This easy-to-make dressing can be stored in the fridge for up to five days in an airtight container or mason jar.
Give it a good shake or stir before using, as the ingredients may separate over time.
Can I use other herbs?
Absolutely! You can make this creamy yogurt dressing using different herbs instead of oregano and basil like dried dill, rosemary, or chive.

Delicious! I made this to use with my Moroccan Lamb Meatballs when I didn't have any Tzatziki Sauce. I'll never go back! This sauce has so many flavors and cooled down the cayenne pepper in our meatballs just right! Yummy flavor that I can see using on sandwiches, salads, meats.
